Vacuum suspension Melting Furnace
It is mainly composed of water cooling copper crucible,vacuum system,vacuum cover,Mid-freq power supply,water cooling system and so on.The power used will changed according to the furnace capacity,for example:0.25KG furnace with 40KW power supply while 1KG furnace used 60KW power supply.The copper crucible is petal type and using mica insulation between the sections.The water cooling is from bottom to the top,the quartz covers the crucible.The whole meting process are visible and there is a φ40mm vacuum pumping hole at the bottom.The cooling water pressure are high as 0.3Mpa,furnace equipped with overflow and over pressure protection switch.The water cooling copper crucible could move up and down to facilitated discharge and adjust melting temperature.
Due to the process characteristics, the system can achieve a higher melting temperature (currently up to 3600ºC), it can effectively degas and remove impurities from the alloy, reduce metal melting loss (maximum melting loss does not exceed 0.8%wt), and can prepare alloys with more precise composition.
Equipment features:
1. Eliminate the contamination of the molten pool by the crucible material, and can prepare high-purity and ultra-high-purity materials with very uniform and precise composition;
2. Eliminate the limitation of the crucible material on the melting temperature, and can obtain a melting temperature of more than 3600ºC under induction melting conditions, which is the most ideal preparation method for refractory and high-temperature materials;
3. High-frequency magnetic field melting has a more ideal solution stirring effect, and obtains a more uniform alloy structure;
4. The molten material does not directly contact the crucible wall, and can melt active metals.
Applications:
1. Eliminate the contamination of the crucible material to the molten pool, and be able to prepare high-purity and ultra-high-purity materials with very uniform and precise composition;
2. Active metals: rare earth metals, titanium, zirconium, chromium, uranium, plutonium, magnesium, beryllium, lithium and other metals and their alloys (avoid reaction with crucible materials);
3. Refractory metals: such as vanadium, niobium, molybdenum, tantalum, rhenium, tungsten and other metals and their alloys with melting points of 2000ºC~3410ºC (break through the temperature limit of crucible materials);
4. Precious metals: such as silver, gold, ruthenium, rhodium, palladium, osmium, iridium, platinum and other metals and their alloys (to ensure purity and yield).
